Stanton system · Alpha 4.10.2 · briefing as of Oct 20, 2026

Two events. One crew. One Idris.

The Idris runs the Defense track. Every contract is shared, so each completion pays every crew member in full. Read the deadline tiles, do the pickup steps, then follow the timeline mission by mission.

RSI Discovery Month Live · end date unconfirmed Started Oct 9, 2026 with 4.10.2. Guides cite Oct 20 as the close. The official FAQ had no end date as of Oct 13. Treat it as closing any day.
Day of the Vara 2956 Starts Wed, Oct 21 Holiday is Oct 27. Last year's event ran to Nov 3, so expect roughly two weeks. 2956 end date not announced.
Twitch Drops · zero effort Oct 14 to Oct 27 Watch 4 total hours of any Drops-enabled Star Citizen stream for the Phoenix Insignia Display. Leave one running while we fly.
Part 1 · RSI Discovery Month · the Idris plan

Where the contracts come from

All event contracts live in the mobiGlas Contract Manager anywhere in Stanton. You never fly to a contract giver. The Defense ones are posted by Foxwell Enforcement and the mission marker drops somewhere in Stanton when you accept, so we stack a few in one region before the Idris moves.

  1. Open mobiGlas, Contracts. Look for the RSI Disc. Month label (some builds show it as a filter, some as a tag on each listing).
  2. Pick the right giver. Defense space combat = Foxwell Enforcement. Delivery (Rental Offer, Relay Race) = Roberts Space Industries.
  3. One pilot accepts, then hits Share. Use whoever has the most Defense points, since Orange contracts only appear once that pilot has the required points.
  4. Everyone else accepts the share from Contracts before it completes. Not in the party, or not accepted, means no points for that run.
  5. Check the marker before undocking. If the mission spawned on the far side of Stanton, abandon and pull the next listing. Idris travel time is the only real cost.

Rules Why every run pays everyone

  • All Defense and Transport contracts share with no point split. Only the aUEC divides.
  • Constellation Rental Offer does not share. Each pilot accepts and finishes their own copy.
  • Points go to the career track and to Your Total at the same time. One Orange run is 417 Defense and 417 Total.

Crew Idris stations

  • Pilot keeps the nose on the heavies and parks close to the ship we are defending.
  • 2 to 4 turret gunners. Call targets by type. Heavies first, the ship we defend may already be hurt on arrival.
  • 1 to 2 fighter pilots launch from the hangar for anything fast that slips the turrets.
  • 1 engineer/medic. Fires, power, and dragging people to the med beds. Dead crew respawn aboard, not at a station.

Mission timeline

Points shown are per crew member. Bars show where each pilot should sit after that mission. Green ticks are tiers you have crossed. Defense bar runs to 10,000, Your Total to 30,000.

Session math: missions 0 to 6 take roughly 2 hours including Idris travel and put everyone at Defense Tier 1. Each Orange run after that is 15 to 20 minutes. Tier 2 lands around mission 11, Tier 3 around 17, the P8-SC Echo SMG at mission 26. Your Total Tier 1 (4,500) falls at mission 11 and Tier 2 (9,900) at mission 24 without touching any other track.

Side lanes

Neither of these is needed for the Defense rewards. They only matter if we chase the 30,000 Your Total tier, which needs about 10k in each career. Anyone running one stays in the party and shares, so the Idris crew still collects the points.

Transport Supply Haul loop

  • Needs a 320+ SCU hauler (Hull B, Railen, C2). Do Courier Run (Exp. E) once (417, shared) to unlock.
  • Loop Important Supply Haul (Covalex): 625 points each, 124,000 aUEC. Share every run.
  • Smaller hauler: Ling Supply Delivery, 417 each. Verify on the first run that distant party members get credit.

Collection Only with a mining ship

  • Procure Refined Beryl 669 each or Refined Iron 408 each, no split. Mine at Wala, refine, share.
  • Skip Quantainium and the UCM salvage contracts. They split the Total track, and UCM (L) is Reclaimer-only.
Part 2 · Halloween in the 'verse · starts Wed, Oct 21, 2026

Day of the Vara 2956

The UEE exploration vessel Vara vanished in 2557 while orbiting the second planet of the Hades system. Captain Tisiphone Heptane's last transmissions described ruined alien cities. Search and Rescue never found the ship. Terra first marked the day in 2593, and it became an official UEE holiday in 2595. Every October 27 the 'verse puts on a mask.

How long it runs

Unknown What 2956 has not announced

  • Reward list, how masks are earned, and the end date. Only the Oct 21 start is listed on the RSI Community Hub and the SC Public Advisory.
  • Rumored from a sneak peek: Halloween-themed armor. Treat as unconfirmed until the Spectrum post goes up.
First move Wednesday One person reads the official "Day of the Vara 2956" Spectrum post and drops the reward rules in the squad chat. Then we commit to the right method below.

Precedent How the last two years paid out

  • 2955 (last year): Arena Commander, FPS, Kill Collector mode. Survive the waves and finish top 3 in a match to claim one mask set. Three sets: Fieldsbury Dark Bear helmets in several colors, The Hill Horror, Snarling Vanduul. One set per win.
  • 2955 contests: pumpkin decorating for the Pumpkino Spectrum badge, and a horror short-story contest written from the Vara crew's point of view.
  • 2955 paints: Black Magic for Polaris, Guardian and Sabre. Purple Haze and Ghoulish Green returned.
  • 2954 (two years ago): masks dropped from loot boxes across Stanton. Collecting a set earned the Spooktacular Spectrum badge.

Plan A · if it's Kill Collector again

  1. Queue as a squad. Arena Commander, FPS, Kill Collector. Party up so we land in the same lobby and can cover each other.
  2. Play for top 3, not for kills. Survival to the end is what paid last year. Hold a defensible corner, share medpens, rotate who pushes.
  3. Claim one set per win, then run it back. Three wins per person clears all three sets.
  4. Rotate the Idris crew through it between Orange contracts while the ship repositions.

Plan B · if it's loot boxes again

  1. Loot every bunker and outpost box we pass during ground contracts (Eliminate Known Outlaw, Clear Hostiles from Site).
  2. Check boxes at every landing while the Idris refuels or crew swaps.
  3. Pool the masks. Hand spares to whoever is short a set so everyone hits the badge.
Either way, contests are optional. Enter the pumpkin or story contest only if someone wants the Spectrum badge. They do not gate any in-game gear.
